Total war warhammer 2 mortal empires chaos invasion

The AI focusing the player rather then actually fighting every 'player' as they come across them. The AI avoiding confrentation at all costs unless it has an overwhelming advantage. I'm not sure the problem is with chaos but with specifically how the game operates. Setting a war coordination target of my allies to go after Chaos stacks in the ocean was very useful, as was using ambush to lure stacks to land near me so I can fight them on land. I also realized I can generate an army in a single turn in any of my cities that can kill any Chaos army, but who the AI thinks it can beat so it never runs away from it - basically allowing me to build a rapid reaction force anywhere in the world, kill a stack or 2 of chaos, and then disband the army once its job is done for massive cost savings. I'd just been killing the puppets and servants of chaos ad nauseam, but once I sent an army to camp in the chaos wastes and exterminate the warriors every time they showed up I progressed quickly through the stages of invasion before finally stomping Archean the Seldom Chosen and ending the infinite respawning stacks.

As it turns out, I needed to specifically kill the Warriors of Chaos and the Beasts of Chaos. I knuckled own, put in another 9 hours of play, and managed to finally beat chaos. I'd rather 18 armies teleported next to the oak of ages and fought me straight up rather than have to spend 50 turns endlessly chasing them all down bleeding money.

Failing that, just spawn the chaos armies directly on my land. Or have auto resolve re-calibrate itself based on player performance. Even if I could just manually control sea battles it'd be manageable - have the 'map' be a ship deck or something. I thought you guys were exaggerating with how ridiculous and broken the Chaos Invasion system is in Mortal Empire, but you really were not kidding. What exactly am I supposed to do here? I have one army that requires micro management to fight effectively, and 4 chaos armies sailing around it killing cities from the ocean so I can't retaliate. Meanwhile, I have no less than 18 different chaos armies elsewhere on the map all conspicuously avoiding my armies. I have been chasing one chaos army in the north for 10 god damn turns - it's in the ocean so I can't even use branchwraths to block its movement. I could handle 18 stacks of chaos teleporting in that infinitely respawn at the four edges of the map in the ocean so I can't actually fight them because auto resolve sucks that only target me.Д«ut not only do they teleport in 18 stacks of chaos that infinitely respawn, at all four corners of the world, in the ocean so you can't actually fight them - but they don't give battle. I could handle 18 stacks of chaos teleporting in that infinitely respawn at the four edges of the map when I can barely afford 3 armies thanks to upkeep that only target me.
